I am SO excited to be back working on my blog! Finals have been such a pain.. Thankfully they're over! To celebrate the end of finals, Mom and I met up with my brother and his girlfriend Friday for brunch! We went to The French Press in downtown Lafayette.. It was delish! I have been obsessing over the artwork in the downtown area. This was my first time seeing all of the amazing artwork there. I very seldom go downtown! Which will surely change for future blog shoots! That morning, I was not in the mood to get super cute, so I opted to style a tee and keep it super simple. I love this edgy and simple look! It will be my new go to for days I am feeling a little lazy!

 

 

 

I Woke Up Like This

 

Hi everyone! I want to apologize for neglecting my blog for the past two weeks! School has been beyond crazy! In this post, I'm channeling my inner Beyoncé! I saw this sweater and could not pass it up! I think it is so important for women to feel confident. Often, women get caught up in trying to be like someone else--mainly celebrity women. I think girls should refrain from trying to be like others and embrace their uniqueness. I was never one to follow the crowd. I dislike having things that others have and doing the things that others do. I enjoy being different. I have looked up to many celebrity women and still do. Mainly because the women I look up to inspire me to be a better person. Looking up to someone and trying to be exactly like them are not the same. Ladies, embrace the uniqueness the good man upstairs has blessed you with! You never know who you are inspiring!

I am so excited to share this outfit with all of you! I love strolling down main street with mom while doing a little bit of shopping & sipping on coffee! We recently starting getting really cute boutiques in our little town which makes me very excited! I love shopping and what better way than to shop local? I purchased this particular outfit from Boutique Forty-Six ! I have been wanting to purchase a pair of black skinnies, so I was super excited when I came across a pair! I also found this super fun sweater to pair with my jeans! I love walking out of a boutique with an entire new outfit!.. and get this! I purchased my new outfit for only $60! How awesome is that?! Flannels + Booties!

 

I always get so excited when it starts becoming cool outside because I get to break out my flannels and booties! I absolutely love wearing flannels on cool days because they can be dressed up or down. Mom and I recently had breakfast and coffee at Joppe Courtyard Cafe then did a little bit of shopping at the local boutiques downtown! I wanted to be comfy yet cute, so I opted to dress my flannel down. I wore it with the most comfortable pair of leggings and my Vince Camuto booties. A cute flannel is a great piece every southern girl should own! Especially for those cool winter nights that a bonfire, classic country, and great company are a must!
